Mastering the Dance of Time: Embracing Finitude

Does the relentless ticking of the clock leave you feeling overwhelmed, as if you’re constantly battling against time? Have you ever considered how understanding the concept of ‘finitude’ could revolutionize your approach to life? Jennifer Deane is a professionally certified coach, consultant, and facilitator, and has over two decades of experience in the healthcare industry. She’s the creator of successful online leadership programs like Leaderstamp and Managing People & Teams, and is passionate about helping organizations promote leaders from within.

In this episode, we explore the complex relationship we all share with time, focusing on the concept of finitude, or the state of having limits or bounds. Jennifer and I spent two years researching different approaches to time management within healthcare, using a Human Systems Dynamics framework called adaptive action. We observed a pervasive sense of overwhelm among leaders, which led us to a deeper understanding of how we choose to spend our time. Join us as we unravel these findings and share insights on navigating the limited time we’ve been given in life.

And as with everything I share on the podcast, this is what I believe based on what I’ve read and researched. But please don’t take my word for it. Keep what sticks, discard the rest and for goodness sakes, go out and test drive it!
